We can't afford to think! There is no time to think! The enemy is at the gate So legislate, legislate, legislate! One more foot in the door… And when they're out the way, There's nothing left to say. They don't exist. One more foot in the door… And when a million people are standing in the street, And that's safe to dismiss, Is that a rising population, or just an escalating madness? When a million people are standing in the streets, And that's somehow safe to dismiss, Is that the rising populations, (no, I didn't think so!) It's just an escalating madness! One more foot in the door; One more kick, One more boot in the face for freedom.

No More Days 03:56
I suppose we always kinda knew it was coming, But we never thought it would happen this way; We had movie plots and conspiracies warning, And finally we blocked the light away. We had a few scares but we patched them up easily enough, But as time dragged on it became increasingly tough. And they've gone and torn it now, with the final wave As we wave goodbye to our final day. And there will be no more days; Only clouds above to see the sun And no more rain. We're still waiting for a fusion that'll sort it all out, While readying our cellars for the next bout Of blackouts and work-outs and new "steam days" Where we crank and we hope that it'll all be ok. 'Cause there are No more days Only clouds And no more rain. What good is light if you're only home once a week? What good is light if you never leave your seat? What good is light when there's no beauty to illuminate? What good is light if it'll only shine on grey? What good is life when you're only home once a week? What good is life when you never leave your seat? What good is life when there's no beauty in the air? What good is life if you just don't care? So I wonder at the tumultuous clouds if I'm really missing a thing; Never needed the light anyway, we made our own hope, And the timetables and continuity made it all redundant; Just one never-ending fog of existence. 'Cause there are No more days; Only clouds And no more rain.

Aleph 03:54
Everyone's looking forwards, but I'm looking around, Looking for some meaning which no-one's ever found, Trying to find light in an endless wall of sound, Trying to see the sky when I'm staring at the ground. It's getting worse every day; Everything I cared about has started to decay. I can't spend time with you, alone; Everything I cared about, I'm looking For home. If I'm so happy then why can't I sleep? All those eyes are staring up, thinking they're so deep. I'm looking for the ocean in an endless scrap heap Of everything I loved before; I can't admit defeat, And I'll hope that all of these realisations Have given me some kind of appreciation for time… Everyone's steeped in mists and rain, but I have clarity; All those eyes are staring up, longing to be free. And all these broken consoles can't tell me now; I'll worry about the when when I've figured out the how. I'm feeling better every day; Everything I cared about you tell me to betray. I can spend hours just thinking, alone; Everything I cared about I'm coming home.

The lights have long since flickered out, And a liquid calm has spread across the Earth. Coldness and darkness will be our children, And our hearts will thaw as we witness the birth. Black gold has long since left us now, And a feathered silence has spread between our souls. Our return to the roots from which we sprang Will heal our wilting eyes and fill these holes. The daylight's kiss has now dissolved, And a silken peace has spread its gossamer wings. Diffusing into us to bring transcendence, A new consciousness will drive us to higher things. Oh Prometheus, my destroyer, I bid you farewell; When once we embraced you You brought us to Hell. Well all things grown, my child, Must some day die in turn; Our conscience lies defiled, And now we must learn That this life we've known must burn.

about

This is the last single from our EP "Situation 3 Has Occurred". It includes two brand-new tracks as well as re-worked versions of songs from the EP. It is intended to serve as both a good introduction to Broken Console, and a fitting end to the "S3HO" era.
